About This Site and Washington Law
Clark County Court Records is a privately operated reference site. We are not a Washington state agency, a Clark County office, or any other government entity. We help visitors find Clark County, Washington court records by pointing them to official offices, portals, and fee schedules.
Washington's Public Records Act, RCW chapter 42.56, governs public access to records held by state and local government agencies in Washington. That law does not apply to this private website. It applies to the government offices we reference, such as the Clark County Clerk and the County Auditor. Court records held by the courts follow Washington court rule GR 31 rather than the Public Records Act. We explain those rules on our public records page. This Privacy Policy covers only what we do with data you share with this website.
Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or location into one of the search tools on our site, that input goes straight to the third-party provider that runs the search. They process it and return results. We do not store or log the search terms you enter on our end.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email or fill out a contact form, we keep that message so we can reply. Your message stays within our team. We will not share it with anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.

- The site that sent you here, if any

We use cookies on this site. These are small files stored on your device that let us see how visitors use the site, which pages get the most traffic, and where people tend to drop off. Your browser settings let you block cookies whenever you want. Some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.

Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to court portals, Washington state government agency pages, Clark County offices, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
For example, the Washington Courts Odyssey Portal has its own terms and privacy rules. The Clark County Clerk website is governed by Washington state and county policy. Neither of those is covered by this Privacy Policy.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
Washington Court Records and GR 31
If you are concerned about your own information appearing in Clark County court records, that is a separate matter from this Privacy Policy. Washington court rule GR 31 governs public access to court case records and sets limits on how personal identifiers in those records can be used. To request that a court record be sealed or redacted, you must contact the court that holds the file. Sealing and redaction in Washington courts follow court rule GR 15. This website has no ability to alter, remove, or restrict access to any court record. Those requests go to the Clark County Clerk or the court itself.
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. But nothing connected to the internet is bulletproof. We do what we can to keep your information secure, though we cannot promise a breach will never happen.
